Hoosier Uplands will once again be offering assistance with winter heating bills for low income residents of Lawrence, Orange, Martin and Washington Counties. All applicants must apply in their county of residence.

This service is provided through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Block Grant, a federally funded block grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This agency will begin accepting applications from interested households on October 5, 2009. To schedule your appointment call your respective county office. You will be assigned an appointment time and date.

Eligibility for the Energy Program will be limited to those households with a confirmed income at or below 150% of the Office of Management and Budget Poverty Guidelines. Appointments are scheduled on a first call first schedule basis. Applications will be completed for all appointments and these applications will be funded as long as grant dollars are available.
